I.Missions

The mission of the INSD is to produce and make available to users reliable and up-to-date statistical information to assist in decision-making, by ensuring the technical coordination of the National Statistical System.

This global mission is broken down into main and specific missions in accordance with Order No. 2008-257 MEF / SG / INSD of September 4, 2008 on the organization, powers and functioning of the INSD.

The Institute is also responsible for the technical coordination of statistical activities of the National Statistical System. In particular, it is responsible for the establishment of an integrated national system for the collection of economic, demographic, social and environmental statistics, by resorting either to censuses or sample surveys, or to the use of data. and sectoral databases from the public or private sectors.
